SS3 on GitHub for All to Use
“SeydoggySlideshow is no single script or library but is rather a implementation of specific methods to account for the complexity of user input and variability that theme usage encounters. The many moving parts of the SeydoggySlideshow method include jQuery, Cycle, ExtraContent, SlideBox, RwSetGet and rwAddLinks.” — via seyDoggy/SeydoggySlideshow – GitHub.
Today I’ve opened up all that we’ve put into SS3 and posted an example SS3 enabled theme on GitHub. I hope that other theme developers will find it useful and maybe even incorporate SS3 into their own themes.
From a user standpoint this could greatly benefit you from having a common experience across multiple themes from multiple developers. This makes supporting such components a community effort which in turn is better for everyone.
To users, if you have a favorite theme that you think would be great with SS3 then consider asking the developer (politely) if they’d consider adding SS3 in a future update.
To developers, I’m here to help. If you have any questions, concerns, comments or improvements, you know how to get a hold of me.
